Terms of Sale
Last updated: October 11, 2026
These terms apply to licenses for the Windows app Fully Local Transcribe purchased by customers outside Japan through our English checkout. Licenses are sold for business and professional use only. By completing a purchase, you agree to these terms on behalf of your organization.
1. Seller
- Business name
- Hoshimono Design
- Address
- Hamamatsucho Daiya Building 2F, 2-2-15 Hamamatsucho, Minato-ku, Tokyo 105-0013, Japan
- info@fullylocaltranscribe.com
2. Business use only
Licenses are sold only to businesses, organizations and professionals for use in their work. By purchasing, you confirm that you are not buying as a consumer.
3. Licenses
- One license covers one user on one PC. To move a license to a new PC, enter the same license key on the new PC and stop using it on the old one.
- Annual license (¥7,800 per year): renews automatically every 12 months and is charged to your card on the renewal date until you cancel. You can cancel at any time. After you cancel, the license stays valid until the end of the period you have already paid for. We do not give partial refunds for unused time.
- Perpetual license (¥23,400, one-time): no expiry. It includes future updates to Fully Local Transcribe, but not new, separate products. Email support is included for one year from purchase; the software keeps working after that.
- The annual license checks in with our license server about once a year to renew. For PCs that can never connect to the internet, contact us for an offline license.
4. Prices, payment and taxes
- Prices are in Japanese yen. Any US dollar amounts shown are approximate; your card issuer converts the charge at its own exchange rate and may add its own fees.
- Payment is by credit or debit card only, processed by PAY.JP. We never receive or store your card number. We do not accept bank transfers or invoices for international orders.
- Customers in the European Union and the United Kingdom must enter a valid VAT number at checkout. Sales to these customers are made under the reverse-charge mechanism, and you are responsible for accounting for VAT in your country.
- Any import taxes, withholding taxes or similar charges in your country are your responsibility.
5. Before you buy
Please check that the software runs on your PC and fits your needs before you buy. Requirements: Windows 10 or 11 (64-bit), at least 4 CPU cores and 8 GB of RAM (16 GB recommended).
6. Refunds
Because licenses are delivered digitally and take effect immediately, we do not offer refunds after purchase. We may make an exception, at our discretion, if:
- the software clearly does not run at all on a PC that meets the requirements above, or
- the license we delivered has a serious defect caused by us.
7. Support and updates
- Support is provided in English, by email only. We do not offer phone support and do not guarantee response times.
- Updates are provided at our discretion. We do not guarantee that every version stays compatible with earlier versions or settings.
8. What you may not do
- Use paid features without a valid license.
- Copy, redistribute, modify, decompile or reverse-engineer the software.
- Transfer, rent or share your license with anyone else.
- Use the software in a way that breaks the law or infringes the rights of others.
9. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
The software is provided "as is". We do not warrant that transcripts are accurate or complete, or that the software will run without errors on every PC. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, including lost profits, lost data or business interruption. You are responsible for checking transcripts and for backing up your data.
10. Personal data
Speech recognition runs entirely on your PC. We never receive your audio or your transcripts. We process the following personal data:
- At purchase: your email address, organization name, country and VAT number, to issue your license, collect payment, keep records required by law and send license-related emails. Card details go directly to PAY.JP and are handled under PAY.JP's privacy policy.
- License checks: when a registered license renews, the app sends your email address, license key, app version and a random device ID to our license server. Our server records the IP address and the time of the check.
- Emails you send us: we use them only to reply and to keep a record of your request.
We do not sell personal data. Our servers and service providers may be located outside your country, including in Japan. We keep purchase records for as long as tax and accounting law requires. To ask for a copy of your data or for it to be corrected or deleted, email us.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The version published on this page at the time of your purchase or renewal applies to that purchase or renewal.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Japan. The Tokyo District Court has exclusive jurisdiction as the court of first instance for any dispute.
